The Show (Peter Pan Man, #1) – Circuitwiringdiagram.co

I edited this book and instantly fell in love with it Larry has a genius way of creating these true to life characters and putting them in unbelievable predicaments There s love, jealousy, betrayal, laughter, and heartbreak, rolled up into what would be an amazing series, should someone decide to film it A great summer read I m not on Goodreads but after congratulating the author on his book, The Show, he asked me to leave my review of it here First off, I worked in the wine world and met Larry Lawrence H Sola just as his career took off We met in Orlando and years later on a winery trip to Napa He was a likeable guy who was on the fast track After reading the back of The Show you might think it s an exaggerated tale but I can tell you it is not The parallels of his story and the Napa trip were quite similar I m not on Goodreads but after congratulating the author on his book, The Show, he asked me to leave my review of it here First off, I worked in the wine world and met Larry Lawrence H Sola just as his career took off We met in Orlando and years later on a winery trip to Napa He was a likeable guy who was on the fast track After reading the back of The Show you might think it s an exaggerated tale but I can tell you it is not The parallels of his story and the Napa trip were quite similar Shortly after arriving at the winery he ignored warnings to avoid a female manager who found his side at the tasting before the dinner During breakfast she was asked to sit with one of VP s after she again found, our charming leading man sipping his coffee hungover By that night it was like watching a train wreck The same V.P had to pull him aside, again Yet, like the book, nothing changed He acted recklessly while orderingwine quite similar to a documentary I recently saw on JFK I ve been fascinated by personalities like theirs and must say his story brought me right back to the unethical ways this company operated If you are looking for a real look inside corrupt corporations and manipulated investigations this book is a clear depiction of that company and his life Most of this was quite engaging, some of it was just brilliant often funny, and at times hilarious A few too many characters, and some typical typos, but an overall entertaining read that exceeded my expectations The real appeal for me came from the author himself, though Not just his unique writing style, but the fact he is the loveable lead who exudes a dangerous boyish charm that ends up altering his and her life, with tragic consequences If you are looking for happy endings this isn Most of this was quite engaging, some of it was just brilliant often funny, and at times hilarious A few too many characters, and some typical typos, but an overall entertaining read that exceeded my expectations The real appeal for me came from the author himself, though Not just his unique writing style, but the fact he is the loveable lead who exudes a dangerous boyish charm that ends up altering his and her life, with tragic consequences If you are looking for happy endings this isn t a book for you This feels real, and races on with sensitive subject matter that this guy dances through until he goes right off the cliff being a fan of Peter Pan and Hank Moody made this shit show a must read The Show is a wildly entertaining story about a Hank Moody type who climbs the corporate ladder in the wine industry until he meets his Wendy and ultimately crashes but somehow doesn t burn He flies on to another adventure called The Gym Time to restock my wine rack and snuggle up with this guy s next shit show Cheers. FUCKING UNBELIEVABLEThe premise of this story has a talented self destructive guy driving his career, and life off a cliff The protagonist is the Peter Pan Man a forty two year old executive who refused to grow up while being exalted to the position of Sales Director of a new sales division that he was hand picked to run as he partied like a frat boy The antics detailed are borderline slapstick, and left me unsettled, yet unable to stop laughing Just to give you a tiny taste of thi FUCKING UNBELIEVABLEThe premise of this story has a talented self destructive guy driving his career, he the Peter Pan Man sent poems and MS s mirror shots dripping wet in his towel to his much younger female manager, who he naturally named Wendy very aware she fell in love with him, while blaming it all on his pixie dust because he can t admit he s really Lucifer I ll now confess I m also a slightly jealous writer, and pissed off that my wife has even checked out his MS s So, I ll conclude by raising my glass and middle finger Cheers and FUCK YOU PETER PAN MAN Well, let me start by saying I ve never consumedwine with the completion of any book and start this review with a warning To love this book, you have to love life The book opens with a bang after a well crafted author s note and races forward to tell the twisted tale of the author s illustrious career in the corrupt wine industry The first relatable subject touched on was the marital discord he felt when he was promoted relocated to run a new sales division After that, envy rings true Well, let me start by saying I ve forward to tell the twisted tale of the author s illustrious career in the corrupt wine industry The first relatable subject touched on was the marital discord he felt when he was promoted relocated to run a new sales division After that, envy rings true to form as he worked with a few classic haters who knew they could never be him, while sabotaging his new sales division This alone would provide a relatable read but only sets up the love story part of the storyline which is nothing short of amazing But hold on Our charming lead doesn t only have a female love interest In a long lineup of wonderful characters, there s his prot g A young, handsome, dim, flunky who plays into his demise as an envious sales manager manipulates a sales draft for his new division After a fewgood belly laughs, he meets the girl His Wendy The Peter Pan Wendy love story is brilliant, and the references to Never Land come so naturally that as the wine flowed I began believing he just might be Pan I also believe in fate and strongly get this authors take on that too The Show is a story about life and a man who is way too intelligent to be fired amidst even this drama He refused to play the politics game and wanted out of a corrupt company to get his life back the life he taught us all to celebrate I get Mr Sola and believe this tragic tale is the set up for a happily ever after one I now look forward to reading cheers He worked hard, played hard, and was referred to as the Peter Pan Man, set to be a star in the industry he adored After his third promotion in four years, he was granted a rare bright future tag that only two executives, with very different agendas, were aware of The company relocated him to run a new selling division and his seemingly scripted life appeared to be a dream, until the warnings he ignored caused it to have traits of a nightmareWith pixie dust bathing the scene in magic, the Peter Pan Man met his Wendy, and the curtain rose on The Show Holy crap I loved this By chapter 3 I realized I wasn t going to put it down By chapter 8 I wanted to work for the Peter Pan Man the author By chapter 14 I pretended that I was Wendy By chapter 26 I shed his reality You have to read this to understand, but I BELIEVE I found this guy to be quite appealing and his story to be harrowing, heartbreaking and absolutely alluring Second star to the right and straight on till morningFIVE STARS AMAZING AUTHOR AND BOOK I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SHOW I m shocked no one has mentioned this guy s similarities to Hank Moody of Californication He is cut from the same cloth, and is a writer LOL, anyway really engaging story I related to it so much that I had to stop reading it for a couple of days This should be a movie, it was very entertaining I m shocked no one severely flawed yet talented man who plays by his own rules while crossing paths with a much younger female manager who only seems to want to work for him Can you smell the smoke This went up quick
